Electronic Circuit Breaker in Small DFN Package Eliminates Sense Resistor

Traditionally, an Electronic Circuit Breaker (ECB) comprises a MOSFET, a MOSFET controller and a current sense resistor. The LTC®4213 does away with the sense resistor by using the RDS(ON) of the external MOSFET. The result is a simple, small solution that offers a signifi cant low insertion loss advantage at low operating load voltage. The LTC4213 features two circuit breaking responses to varying (more…)

Watermarking Techniques for Electronic Circuit Design

Abstract. Enforcing copyright laws related to circuit design is usually hard, since discovery and proof of infringements are required beyond reasonable doubt. Proving that a given circuitry is trivially derived from a patented technique or method is in general a painstakingly slow task, often requiring reverse-engineering and forensic analysis of fabricated chips. These techniques are so complex that their (more…)

TU-919 Stereo Separation Control PCB Instructions

TU-919 Stereo Separation Control PCB Instructions Introduction The TU-919 Stereo Separation Control PCB upgrades the unit by allowing control of the stereo separation of both the … and narrow IF modes of operation. The PCB replaces the single stereo separation adjustment pot found on the audio output PCB. The operation of the PCB is controlled by a relay, which is wired to unused switch contacts of the WIDE/NARROW IF control switch.*** Before starting any modifications unplug the unit from its power source. Failure to do …
