Apply Teflon thread sealant to the threads of the brass elbows before they are installed. Tighten fittings so that the barb end is pointing at the frame rail. Be careful as to not allow any sealant to get into the fuel passages. Using hose from kit, attach to the fuel supply line & secure with 2 hose clamps. (more…)

1998.5 – 02 Dodge 5.9L Racor Fuel Filter Installation Instructions Locate Fuel Supply Line on inside of frame rail, driver’s side. The line is largest of the 3 metal lines. Pick a spot on the frame to mount the Racor bracket, usually behind the transfer case is the best location. Drill 2 holes in the frame 11/32” for mounting bracket. Use bracket as a template & mark the frame to ensure that holes are drilled in the correct locations. Before mounting bracket to frame, remove approx. (more…)
